This race is run under the auspices of KwaZulu-Natal Athletics.

The IAAF, ASA and KZNA rules govern this event.

Both routes start and finish at The Oval Cricket Stadium, Alexandra Park, Pietermaritzburg. The 10km route is a 2 lap course.

An administrative charge of R50 extra will be levied on any entries processed at Registration.

PAY POINTS

PAY POINTS AT ALL MR PRICE STORES OR ONLINE

In order to safeguard cash payments and ensure that all entries are received, entrants can drop off their completed entry forms and pay for the entry at Mr Price Stores. Alternatively you can enter online at www.ladiesrace.co.za using a credit card.

In-store collections will close when entries reach 2750.

ENTRIES CLOSE ON 26 August 2011 - NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN ON RACE DAY.

 

AGE RESTRICTION

10km  - competitors are required to be 15 years or older on the day of the race.
5km  - competitors are required to be 9 years or older on the day of the race.

REGISTRATION

Entrants must collect their race numbers, t-shirts and promo bags from the Oval Cricket Stadium, Alexandra Park, Pietermaritzburg on:
Saturday, 3 September 2011    12:00 – 17:00
Sunday, 4 September 2011      06:00 – 07:30

No t-shirts or promo bags will be give out after registration has closed.

 

RACE NUMBERS

You must wear a SPAR WEEKEND WITNESS race number, clearly visible, on the front of your vest/shirt (NOT on your shorts – ASA/KZNA Rule) and your license / temporary licence on the back of your vest/shirt.

FOREIGN ATHLETES

All foreign athletes must comply with IAAF Rule 4.2 and 142.

GENERAL

NO personal seconding on route
NO vehicles, NO bicycles, NO trolleys, NO carts and NO pets on the route.

Marshals and officials must be obeyed.
Mothers pushing prams will be directed to the back of the start batches – no exceptions.

TIMING CHIPS

It is the responsibility of each participant to return the timing chip on race day, or at registration if you are not going to compete. Any entrant who fails to do this will be invoiced for the full replacement value of the Chip at R90. Interest will be charged at a rate of 2.5% per month on all outstanding invoices and legal fees will be charged to the entrant should this become necessary.

T-SHIRTS & PROMO BAGS

Only 3000 T-shirts and Promo Bags will be produced (for Womens and Girls ONLY). T-shirt sizes are NOT guaranteed.

FINISHERS

All finishers will receive a free breakfast pack. NO MEDALS ARE AWARDED.

RIGHTS RESERVED

Any irregularities in your entry form will result in your entry being returned to you. In the event that a returned entry is not resubmitted before the 3000 cut off number has been reached, that entry will not be accepted. An administration charge may be levied on incomplete entry forms received.

PAYMENTS

Entry fees are not refundable under any circumstances. All payments are to be done at selected PAY POINTS or online using a credit card. No cheques will be accepted. NO FAXED ENTRIES.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ENTRIES

Confirmation of entry can be checked on www.ladiesrace.co.za. Should a correct email address and cellphone number be supplied you will receive an acknowledgement of entry via email and/or sms. The organisers will not be held responsible for delivery or receipt of this confirmation.

CONFUSED MEN

Men who enter the 10km Run/Walk are NOT eligible for t-shirts, promo bags, or any of the position or lucky draw prize.

LUCKY DRAW PRIZES

In order to qualify for any lucky draw prizes, finishers must be present at the prize-giving in order to qualify.
